Deon Bicycle (34) was born with cerebral palsy, diagnosed with bipolar mood disorder, Myasthenia Gravis (an auto immune disease), and unknown illness that constantly takes away his quality of life. Often, we hear people’s stories of battles with illness or disability, but how often do you hear about someone living a full life with four illnesses?
Bicycle tells the story of how he manages his life in a world where disability and illness can disable character. Without physical strength or authority, he demonstrates how you can choose your response to any circumstance and stick with what is most important to you.
Throughout the play you not only get to walk in his shoes but also ask yourself some honest questions. He constantly asks himself, “What can I learn from my current situation and the people around me?”.
Come and be motivated and inspired to take more out of life than you already have from a guy whose odds is totally against him, and yet lives life to the fullest.
