The countdown is officially on. With less than two weeks to go, anticipation is building for the inaugural Now Now Festival, set to take over Marks Park Sports Club on Saturday, 9 May 2026, led by iconic international headliners The Human League.
As excitement reaches fever pitch, fans are gearing up for a one-day-only celebration of timeless hits, electric nostalgia, and world-class live performances that span generations. Headlining the festival, The Human League promises a synth-pop spectacle packed with era-defining anthems including “Don’t You Want Me,” “Human,” and “Fascination,” bringing their unmistakable sound and visual flair to South African stages once again.
Joining them as special guests are fellow UK electronic pioneers Blancmange, adding another layer of nostalgic brilliance with classics like “Living on the Ceiling” and “Blind Vision.”
But the Now Now Festival is more than just international legends – it’s a proud celebration of South African music at its finest. Leading the local line-up are rock giants Prime Circle, fresh off celebrating 25 years in the industry, alongside the ever-influential Arno Carstens, whose legacy continues to shape the country’s rock scene.
Completing the bill is dynamic supergroup Absinthè, uniting powerhouse talents Cito (WONDERboom) and Paul E. Flynn (Sugardrive) for a set that blends nostalgia with a fresh edge, and newly added is DJ Shawny B.
This debut edition marks the beginning of a bold new chapter in South Africa’s live music landscape, introducing a festival that brings together global icons and homegrown heroes in one unforgettable experience. From synth-driven classics to beloved local anthems, audiences can expect a high-energy, hit-filled journey from start to finish.
Following Johannesburg, fans in the Mother City will also have a chance to catch The Human League and Blancmange live when they perform at the Grand Arena at GrandWest on Tuesday, 12 May 2026. Tickets are on sale through Webtickets for the Cape Town concert.
