Her debut album ‘The Space Between’ is a testament to their combined talents.
Norwegian artist, songwriter and jazz musician Ingrid Saga originally from a small city in Norway, made her way to Berklee College of Music in Boston on a talent scholarship earned at the Umbria jazz Festival – an opportunity opening doors into the international music scene.
After four years of intense studies, she recorded her debut album “The Space Between” with musicians, sound engineers and producers from all over the world – including South African producer/engineer Ciaran De Chaud and Grammy-winning Larry Klein. The album has a total of 306,496 streams and was added to 314 Spotify playlists, including notable editorial playlists. It received great recognition, with sold-out release shows at “Becco” in Oslo and “The Note Jazz Club” in Sandefjord, Norway.
Ingrid Saga’s partnership with South African sound engineer Ciaran De Chaud has become a pivotal moment in her illustrious career, highlighting her international appeal and versatility. This collaboration has brought together two talented individuals from different corners of the world, showcasing a blend of diverse musical influences and expertise.
Ciaran De Chaud, who began his career in Johannesburg, South Africa, has made a name for himself as an accomplished audio engineer. From his early days in live music to becoming a sought-after professional in top recording studios, De Chaud’s journey is inspiring. His work spans various projects, including composing and producing music for TV commercials and collaborating with international artists.
The project has received critical acclaim and significant recognition on platforms like NRK Vestfold & Telemark, reaching a broad audience. Ms. Saga’s career is marked by numerous achievements, including performances at iconic venues such as NOVA Spektrum and Oslo Spektrum, and collaborations with artists like Lewloh. Her involvement in significant events, such as the “She Conference” and the FjordJazz festival, further underscores her commitment to meaningful causes and her ability to connect with audiences worldwide.
Her performance at the By The Pond festival in June 2024, alongside renowned artists like Lenny Kravitz and Susanne Sundfør, is yet another highlight of her career.
