Francois van Coke grew up on punk music. “Bangkinners” is a punk anthem that reconnects him with the raw energy of his early influences.

The song was co-written with the two guitarists from Die Gevaar, pushing the punk vibe in fifth gear while taking aim at the absurdities of modern life.
Meet Merwe. His mother didn’t raise cowards.
In this music video Francois plays Merwe – an overzealous shopping-mall security guard who takes it upon himself to “fix” the world’s problems.
“In contrast with the song’s lyrics, if was fun to act like an idiot in a deserted mall in the middle of the night,” says Francois.
