South African singer-songwriter Amy Jones returns with her brand-new single “Again”, out today across all digital streaming platforms. Serving as the highly anticipated follow-up to her smash radio hit “Nobody”, the uplifting new release sees Amy stepping into a more personal and reflective chapter of her artistry.
Produced by acclaimed hitmaker Luke Goliath, “Again” reunites Amy with the producer behind “Nobody”, the breakout single that became a major radio success across South Africa and climbed the charts on multiple stations and reached the Radiomonitor Top 20 airplay chart in February of this year.
At its heart, “Again” is a deeply emotional song about choosing authenticity over appearances and finding meaning in the things that truly matter.
“The inspiration behind ‘Again’ came from the idea of walking away from things that once felt like everything – the noise, the chaos, the attention, and even dreams I once thought defined me – and choosing something quieter, but far more real,” says Amy Jones.
“It explores that moment where you stop chasing what looks good on the outside and start protecting what feels right on the inside. It’s about reaching a place where you’re so certain of your decision that even if you had to relive the loss of certain worldly things, the discomfort of letting go, or everything that came with that transition… you’d still choose it all over again.
“Because what I have now – my family, my baby boy, and a love that feels deeply real – means far more to me than anything I had before.”
The single was written by talented South African singer-songwriter Andre Graham, one of the country’s most exciting young creative talents. Since making his debut in 2020, Graham has built an impressive reputation as both an artist and songwriter, collaborating with major names including Lloyiso, Shekhinah and Paxton, while also working alongside international artists and Grammy-winning producers.
Since 2016, Amy Jones has continued to establish herself as one of South Africa’s most uplifting and inspiring pop artists. After teaching herself guitar at just 14 years old and gaining national exposure through Idols South Africa, her career accelerated following the release of her debut single “Sunrise” in 2018
Over the years, Amy has released a growing catalogue of feel-good music, including the award-winning EDM collaboration “You and Me”, fan favourites such as “Get a Little”, and the chart-topping “Dance on My Own”, which spent five consecutive weeks at No. 1 on Heart FM and was featured in the Netflix series Jiva!. By 2023 she released her debut album “My Forever Friend” which produced hit singles such as “For You” and “Love Is In You”.
Her career has also seen her perform for Cyril Ramaphosa and share stages with international stars including Major Lazer, Robin S, Sybil and DJ Zinhle. She has also performed at major events including the Formula E Fan Park in Cape Town, DHL Stadium and made her UK debut at the Shrewsbury Flower Show.
