The countdown is on as Smile Foundation’s Socks for Smiles campaign enters its final days. The initiative aims to raise R2.5 million to fund 100 life-changing reconstructive surgeries for children across South Africa.
For just R20, South Africans can purchase a Socks for Smiles sticker and join thousands across the country stepping out in their brightest, funkiest socks on 19 September, whether at school, at work, or in the community, to help change a child’s life.
Stickers are available at Dis-Chem, Baby City, Cape Union Mart, Sandton City and online at www.smilefoundationsa.org. Corporates, schools, and community groups are encouraged to make last-minute bulk purchases or sponsor sticker packs for under-resourced schools, giving more children the opportunity to smile again.
“This is the final push and every sticker truly counts,” says Moira Gerszt, Acting CEO of Smile Foundation. “We are deeply grateful to our partners, ambassadors, and every South African who is taking part. Together, we are creating brighter futures.”
South Africans are urged not to miss this opportunity to take part in a national movement of hope and joy. Buy your sticker, wear your socks proudly on 19 September, and help bring smiles and confidence to children across the country.
