During their break, we sat down with each of them and asked their thoughts on the upcoming show.

ARTISTS Q & A

CRAIG URBANI

Q:           What song are you most excited to sing in Swingin’ Las Vegas 2025 and why?

The set list is so incredible! It’s hard to choose!! Definitely Luck Be A Lady! I’ve always loved Guys and Dolls. I’ve lived in hope that they’d so it in SA, so this will be my Sky Masterson moment!! And Shallow with Nadine is going to be a highlight for sure!! The song is so emotive and beautiful. And with the Johannesburg Big Band playing it…….!!! Best ever!!!

And of course whatever I do with Harry is going be full of laughs and mischief!!! What can I say? I’m Just a Gigolo!

Q:           What can the audience expect from your performance? And the show?

Last year lots of people commented on my dance moves!! I didn’t even realise I was dancing so much. It’s just how I perform! This year…..the moves will be back!!!!

Q:           Your all-time favourite artist that’s appeared in Las Vegas, who’s going to be featured in the show?

I was on stage this year and despite having tickets, I missed Robbie William’s concert!! I think I picked him last year as well! He’s a firm favourite of mine!! I’d love to see him light up the Vegas stage!!

Q:           What 3 songs are you most looking forward to hearing the other artists in the show, perform?

I think Tim and Nadine are going to melt hearts with Unforgettable! Harry is going to sizzle with Leave Your Hat On and I can’t wait to hear Nadine’s It’s All Coming Back To Me Now accompanied by this 18 piece brass band! It’s going to bring the house down!!!

Q;           What excites you about returning to the show after last year’s season?

I am ecstatic about being invited back to Swingin’ Las Vegas 2025! It was a complete highlight for me last year! I knew I was going to enjoy it, but it really exceeded all my expectations!

This year, these musicians coupled with the kindest, most talented and incredible performers and a Joburg audience that has come out ready to have the time of their lives, will make this year’s Swingin’ Las Vegas  2025 something ….well…….”Unforgettable!”

NADINE

Q:           What song are you most excited to sing in Swingin’ Las Vegas 2025?

I’m so excited to be a part of this show!  It is the epitome of glam, glitter, excitement, musicality and great songs!

One of the songs I am most excited about is  Unforgettable which is the duet I will be doing with the amazing Timothy Moloi.

Q:           What can the audience expect from your performance? And the show?

The audience can expect beautiful music, great song arrangements, and a very excited cast. There will be romantic songs, dramatic performances and laughter as well!

Q:           Your all-time favourite artist that’s appeared in Las Vegas, who’s going to be featured in the show?

Celine Dion

Q:           What 3 songs are you most looking forward to hearing the other artists in the show, perform?

The Elton John medley by Craig Urbani, the classic hit Hello by Timothy Moloi and You can leave your hat on/ I feel good by Harry Sideropoulos. It is going to be fantastic!

Q:           What excites you about joining Craig, Tim, Harry for this year’s version of Swingin’ Las Vegas?

These guys are not only extremely talented and experienced singers and performers – they are also FUN to be around and to work with. They sing, laugh and dance and just based on the fun moments during our photo shoot and rehearsals, this show is going to be unforgettable for me too!

TIMOTHY MOLOI

Q:           What song are you most excited to sing in Swingin’ Las Vegas 2025 and why?

In a show where every song is a hit, it’s very difficult to choose just one song. But I’m really looking forward to one of my favourite standards, Sway which I’ll be singing with Nadine, Craig, Harry and the Johannesburg Big Band. And this song really showcases the band in a great way

Q:           What can the audience expect from your performance? And the show?

Audiences can expect to be taken on a musical ride through the time, with an interesting, exciting and diverse variety of songs that have formed the soundtrack to our lives. Looking forward to taking these evergreen standards, and giving them our own flavour.

Q:           Your all-time favourite artist that’s appeared in Las Vegas, who’s going to be featured in the show?

Another difficult choice, but one of my favourite artist who’s been in Las Vegas is the great Lionel Richie. Who doesn’t know or love all the music he’s given us through the years. It will be exciting to hear Lionel’s popular classics given the big band treatment by the Johannesburg Big Band.

Q:           What 3 songs are you most looking forward to hearing the other artists in the show, perform?

Celine Dion’s ‘It’s All Coming Back To Me’, a medley of Elton John songs and ‘Ain’t That A Kick In The Head’.

Q;           What excites you about returning to the show after last year’s season?

I’m very excited about Swingin Las Vegas returning to the Teatro, because the response to the first season last year was so overwhelming. The excitement and electricity in the show was palpable.. And I can’t wait to experience going down memory lane with the audience, young and old, enjoying fantastic timeless music and singing along with us. I’m also looking forward to sharing the stage with wonderful Nadine.

HARRY SIDEROPOULOS

Q:           What song are you most excited to sing in Swingin’ Las Vegas 2025 And why?

I’m just a gigolo – and if you know Louis Prima, you know this tune is pure magic. He performed it in his Vegas residency, and it’s been one of my top 10 favourite songs to sing. But why this song, well, it’s all about sharing the stage with Craig. Last year, we tore up Me and My Shadow together, and it was a riot! So, I can’t wait to see how we’re going to blow the roof off with this one.

Q:           What can the audience expect from your performance? And the show?

Outrageous, that’s me, baby! Bigger, bolder, and full of frolicking fun. I’ve got some seriously hot numbers lined up, and of course, more sequins – because who doesn’t need more jackets covered in sparkles? The show features some of the best swing hits, from like Luck Be a Lady and Lady is a Tramp, but we’re flipping things around with big band swing versions of Celine Dion, James Brown, Lady Gaga, Elton John and Oasis. It’s going to be epic!

Q:           Your all-time favourite artist that’s appeared in Las Vegas, who’s going to be featured in the  show?

Lady Gaga – I absolutely love how she takes pop and classic swing-time hits and transforms them into a one-woman vocal spectacle.

Q:          What 3 songs are you most looking forward to hearing the other artists in the show, perform?

The original Hello by Lionel Richie, Timothy is going to absolutely bring the house down with this one! Craig and Nadine performing Shallow from A Star is Born, and I can promise you, the audience will be on their feet before the first chorus even begins.

As for the finale… I’m not giving that one away just yet, but all four of us will be on stage for it, I use to sing it and dance it in my room with my ghetto blaster!

Q:          What excites you about returning to the show after last year’s season?

Performing with the Johannesburg Big Band, an 18-piece ensemble led by Maestro Adam Howard, is truly unbeatable. Add to that the incredible experience of performing in the iconic Teatro. And of course, being back on stage with those wild cats, Timothy and Craig, is the icing on the cake. I’m already looking forward to the backstage chit-chat,  the laughter and some serious chin-wagging stuff too. I love these boys. And now with Nadine to the mix, it’s going to be a beautiful powerhouse of swingin’ fun!

ADAM HOWARD

Q:           What artist are you most excited to pay homage to in this version of Swingin’ Las Vegas 2025?

I’m really looking forward to our Celine Dion moment with Nadine – who really does sound amazing on Celine Dion songs – and we are paying homage to Elton John too – which will be special – and some other legends like Lionel Richie and even Oasis!

Q:           What song do you think will be your favourite to play with the Johannesburg Big Band?

That’s a hard one! Frank Sinatra’s “The Lady is a Tramp” is a classic, but I am also looking forward to performing Lady Gaga’s “Shallow”!

Q:           How did you go about putting the show’s set list together?

It starts months before – as we compile around 60 – 70 potential songs – looking at who has performed in Vegas – and then trying to have a journey of sorts as we progress through the years of Vegas – making sure we have an entertaining show and discussing song choices with our singers.

Q:           For those who didn’t see last year’s show, what can they expect from Swingin’ Las Vegas 2025?

Swingin’ Las Vegas 2025 pays homage to all the stars that made Vegas – Vegas! – From Frank Sinatra and The Rat Pack, Nat King Cole and Ella Fitzgerald to modern-day stars such as Céline Dion, Robbie Williams, Michael Bublé, Oasis, Elton John, Lady Gaga, Lionel Richie and more!

Our 4 singers – Timothy Moloi, Craig Urbani, Nadine and Harry Sideropoulos will be backed up by the 18-piece Johannesburg Big Band – and the set design and lights swill be world-class.

Q:           For those audiences who attended last year, why should they return?

Whilst the name of the show is the same – we have a brand new set list – so if you enjoyed the musical journey we took you on last year – you won’t be disappointed – and can enjoy even more classic songs from THE world’s most loved singers.

From Frank Sinatra to Lady Gaga – Swingin’ Las Vegas 2025 salutes all the stars who have made Vegas what is was and still is.
