Step into the dazzling world of burlesque like never before! Vintage Nouveau Burlesque invites you to experience their first post-COVID production, CABINET OF FEARROSITEASE, an exhilarating, high-energy show that will awaken your senses and challenge your perceptions. The show is set to run for two unforgettable nights, on the 29th and 30th of November 2024, at the stunning Theatre in the Park, Delta Park.
Founded in 2018, Vintage Nouveau Burlesque is a diverse collective of performers who bring together a dynamic mix of burlesque styles, including Queerlesque, Draglesque, Boylesque, Neolesque, Nerdlesque, and, of course, traditional Burlesque. The troupe has grown in leaps and bounds since their debut in 2019 and is now excited to be teasing audiences again with their first live production since the pandemic.
Blurring the lines between parody, satire, and sensuality, burlesque has its roots in the Victorian era and has evolved into a rich, provocative art form. Originally a form of comedic entertainment, burlesque draws on exaggerated caricatures and lively performances to entertain and excite audiences. Over the years, it has developed into a performance genre that blends humour with bold, fearless striptease.
Vintage Nouveau Burlesque is here to showcase this powerful storytelling art in all its modern glory with the help of angel Producer Angemon. CABINET OF FEARROSITEASE will serve up a potent cocktail of comedy, glamour, and risqué performances. With acts that celebrate body positivity, self-expression, and artistic freedom, this show promises to be an empowering evening of sensuality and satire that you won’t want to miss!
The current cast of Vintage Nouveau Burlesque is as diverse as their acts, with each performer bringing their own unique story and style to the stage: (In Alphabetical Order)
- Brock Hard: Brock Hard is the catch of the day, in the Cabinet of Fearrositease! Keep your eyes peeled for an electrifying mix of nautical brawn and intergalactic charm!
- Lady Nightshade: Dancing through the catacombs of long forgotten castles, join Lady Nightshade in the Cabinet of Fearrositease. May she be your dazzling fire in what lurks in the shadows of magic long lost.
- Miggie Antoinette: Miggie Antoinette serving Aristocratic realness in Cabinet of Fearrositease. Sepulchral but sultry, they’ll draw you into their Delusions!
- MisAndry: Yes, your edible has indeed kicked in! From a crazy group romp in the boudoir to their horrifying mind-bending, gender-bending, maybe-that-leg-shouldn’t-be-bending antics, MisAndry is the nut job you never knew you needed.
- Miss Sassy Strudel: The Cabinet of Fearrositease welcomes the delectable Sassy Strudel. Shmoozing her way through the limelight, she will charm her way into your heart 💓 and get your blood pumping.
- Our crypt keepers for the evening are our lovely Stage Pandas, Mistress Moon and Rusty Bloom. Please note we are not liable for any love bites.
- Tom Cat: Years of being pet by carnies and hunting balloon strings with demonic clowns has made Tom Cat quite adept at juggling things that go bump in the night.
- Venus Stormheart: Beautiful, dangerous, and impossible to resist, we invite you to the debut of Venus Stormheart. The Cabinet of Fearrositease fierce and captivating celestial siren of the stage.
From bold, edgy performances to playful, comedic routines, these talented individuals will take you on a journey filled with excitement, laughter, and, of course, a bit of tease!
