TARIAN RELEASES “COME WHAT MAY” A HOPEFUL SINGLE REFLECTING ON LOVE AND DISTANCE

Listen

Rising singer-songwriter Tarian – the musical project of UK-based Will John – has just released his highly anticipated second single through Netherlands-based The Good Times Co.

Titled “Come What May”, the song is an evocative exploration of love, vulnerability, and the emotional strain of long-distance relationships, set against a backdrop of personal experiences.

The new single was inspired by a deeply personal moment in Tarian’s life.

As he explains, “Come What May came about after saying goodbye to my girlfriend at St Pancras, where she got the train back to the Netherlands after another visit. We’ve been doing long distance for a while, having met in Australia through a series of butterfly effects. The song talks about the strain distance from your loved ones puts on your shoulders. Like your head is pulled between two places. You feel a heaviness in your heart which is relieved every time you see them again.”

Tarian’s musical journey has been building towards the release of his own material for years.

Known for his heartfelt songwriting, Tarian first made waves in 2021 when his demo “Half of Mine” captured the attention of UK rap duo Frankie Stew and Harvey Gunn. The track was eventually included in the duo’s album The South’s Got Something to Say and has since amassed more than 1.5 million streams.

“Half Of Mine (Alizé)” was released as Tarian’s debut solo single in May 2024. The original version of this startlingly beautiful song gave notice of the emergence of a naturally gifted pop singer-songwriter, with true global appeal, into the mainstream.
