The story behind the Song:
“I recently had the pleasure of connecting with another artist in the music industry who guided me and helped me gain valuable insights into the intricacies of this industry.
I Immersed myself in the artist’s world and watched closely their journey balancing meticulous scheduling, show arrangements, fan interactions, and the delicate balance of personal life.
I challenged myself to navigate the pressures of songwriting and explore innovative thinking. Inspired by the artist’s affinity for poetry, I took on the challenge of adopting a similar approach. Even while they were on tour, I found myself crafting verses, thinking in a poetic manner. I believe that when people listen to the resulting song, they will discern the poetic influence in the lyrics.
This song holds a special place in my repertoire, especially considering that, during my younger years, working with Afrikaans was never on my agenda. English was always my preferred language for singing. However, this experience has fostered a sense of pride, and I am eager to continue learning and exploring various genres.
