Zandri Botha believes that if you don’t take risks, you can’t win. This not only serves as the theme of her brand-new single and music video but also reflects her approach to her music career and life.
TIEN TEEN EEN, co-written with Emil Paul and Hugo Ludik, is an upbeat Afrikaans pop hit that is definitely going to be popular on the dance floor over the next few months.
“The song is about a girl who is in love with someone she knows will break her heart, but she would rather take the chance than wonder what could have been,” she explains about the idea behind the track, produced by Muse Studios. “I believe it will resonate with a wide audience, and listeners will enjoy it with me.”
A music video that perfectly complements the song’s lyrics is also available, and she is thrilled to share the final product with the public.
Wintertrail Pictures, Anton Ras Photography, and Frikkie van Biljon were all involved in the production of the project, which was filmed at various locations in Pretoria.
“I thoroughly enjoyed the recording, and it is incredibly special to me because it’s my very first music video,” she says.

TIEN TEEN EEN marks the talented matriculant’s second release, following in the footsteps of Skildery for which she recently released a dance remix that was well-received and earned her an Afri-Indie Independent Artist Award for Best EDM/dance song by a female artist.
Zandri, who resides and attends school in Pretoria North, has been passionate about music from a young age. She started singing and playing guitar in primary school and currently takes singing lessons at Jolanda Becker’s renowned music school.
Describing herself as an extrovert with a keen interest in somatology, she aspires to study at ISA Carstens Academy after school.
The musician finds inspiration in songs that speak to her heart and enjoys listening to pop, country, and gospel music. Artists like Riana Nel and Lauren Daigle have had a significant influence on her own style, and she would love to collaborate with the likes of Danie Reënwolf (Spoegwolf) and Kirsten Richard (Droomsindroom) someday.
During her short time in the music industry, she has learned that hard work and perseverance are the key ingredients for success, which she applies to her studies and personal life as well.
While she has big plans and dreams for the future, she is currently focused on completing school, obtaining her driver’s license, and making a success of her second single.
