The power of the HOT 102.7FM brand has done it again, with the Johannesburg commercial radio station’s inaugural charity golf day selling out in just 24 hours.
The HOT 1027 Golf Day in aid of Hot Cares, powered by Tsogo Sun and hosted by Steyn City, will take place on the 14th of September, with a limited number of fourballs for the day going on sale and being snapped up over the course of one working day, at a not insignificant cost of R20 000 per fourball.
“Wow, we’re blown away by such a prompt response,” said Lloyd Madurai, Managing Director of HOT 102.7FM. “But, what this does is speak to the growing influence of the HOT 102.7FM brand in the Gauteng market and the big hearts of our listeners and partners, who are well aware that any money raised will go towards funding the incredible work Hot Cares undertakes on a daily basis.”
Hot Cares has as its primary focus the goal of “making a meaningful difference to the lives of those around us” and all proceeds from the golf day will go towards its existing initiatives, such as its weekly soup kitchen, the regular help it offers crèches in informal settlements, assistance for entrepreneurs and other non-profit organisations, medical assistance for those in need, educational bursaries and the upliftment of schools and orphanages, and assistance for individuals who just need a helping hand.
The number of helping hands Hot Cares is able to provide through the golf day has also been increased after HOT 102.7FM and Hot Cares concluded a headline sponsor and partnership agreement with hospitality giant Tsogo Sun.
“We’ve been involved with many initiatives with HOT 102.7FM over the years and we choose to collaborate with stakeholders such as the station, who share a commitment to creating a better world for the less fortunate,” said Gareth Kaschula, Regional Marketing Manager at Tsogo Sun. “We take pride in surrounding ourselves with people like those at HOT 1027.FM and supporting meaningful causes.”
The HOT 1027 Golf Day in aid of Hot Cares, powered by Tsogo Sun and hosted by Steyn City, will be followed by a glitzy dinner on the day, at The Shed at Steyn City, featuring live music from some of South Africa’s biggest acts and various entertainment, raffles, and an auction.
Even though the golf day’s fourballs are sold out, tables of 10 for the dinner are still available at R10 000 per table, and for bookings and more info, interested parties can email info@hotcares.co.za.
