Bonnievale Wine news: Bonnievale triumphs at Rosé Challenge and shines light on great summer cinsaults

Bonnievale Wines were singled out at the inaugural Rosé Wine and Spirit Challenge for their excellence, with The Vale Cinsault Rosé Brut and The River Collection Cinsault Rosé 2022 both winning Gold.

“The latest recognition for our ‘Cinsault sisters’ is always welcome, says Bonnievale Wines chief winemaker Marthinus Rademeyer. “Cinsault is an exceptionally versatile wine. When served chilled, brilliant enjoyment when it’s warm and sunny.”

The inaugural Rosé Challenge drew some 130 wine and spirit entries. It is organised by The Awards Show, which also administers the Lumo Awards (formerly the the SA Women’s Wine and Spirit Awards) and Vitis Vinifera Awards. Judges for the Rosé Challenge included Cape Wine Masters Dr Caroline Snyman and Dr Winifred Bowman.

Marthinus says the medals not only augment Bonnievale’s ever-expanding collection of accolades, “it also answers wine-lovers’ broader question: which wine should I try next?”.

River Collection Cinsault Rosé 2022 is pure enjoyment. Bracing and dry, it’s made in the style typical of Southern France. The wine is light, aromatic and refreshing and will have you pouring a second glass faster than it takes to say magnifique! For more information about this wine, go here: https://bit.ly/3qwoJ1v
