When you left school, did you work for a “boss” and what were you doing ?
When I left school , I went straight to University to study an accounting Science degree . At the age of 22 I started serving my accounting articles at an accounting firm for 4 years . Yes I did work for a boss not straight after school.
Tell us a bit more about you…Married ? Kids ?
I am not married nor do I have any kids . I do have a Chinese chow , she is my baby , her name is Bella. I plan on settling down and starting a family in the next 2-3 years . I love my space and alone time. I keep my social life small and personal , I am very selective with the type of friends I hang out with and I generally like to hang out with like minded people. I love taking walks on the beach in the evenings , and the sea calms me . I am a sweet tooth person and I can never say no to chocolates. I am also a Sunday school teacher. I enjoy teaching the little kids about spirituality and making a positive impact on their lives as they grow.
You started your business during a time period where others closed their businesses. How did you manage to do this and what was your driving force behind this ?
I see myself as a visionary and I had this vision in 2018 to open up this business , unfortunately at that time was I comfortable with my corporate job so I didn’t pursue it then , when I got retrenched in 2021 , last year January , I told myself , now is the time to make this vision a reality and this retrenched was turn around as something positive , I decided to take action. One of my key driving forces was to be my own boss and flexibility of time . Also I wanted to be the creator of my own reality. I took my Uif money and used it as capital to start off my business.
Tell our readers a bit more about everything that you have studied to contribute towards your success you currently have ?
I have a Bcompt Accounting Science degree as well as PGCE in education specialising in Accounting. This knowledge has helped me tremendously in opening up a Start up as I had the knowledge to do my own company registration as well as my own taxes .

We heard that you are currently working on three more projects. Are you allowed to let the cat out of the bag on these ones ?
I am in partnership with a software development company based in India , where by we are working with a well known Astrologer based in SA , this dating app is different from others , this app matches people according to their star sign and further filters it based on what you are actually looking , example , interest , religion , height etc , this astrologer has a client base of 60 0000 people and we will be launching first to the his clients and there after to the public , it is a very exciting project , lots of people are finding it hard to meet people on their own and the online dating app is a common tool that people are using now to meet potential partners.
Is based on the education sector , which will help narrow the language barrier gap , this will be launched next year . I cannot disclose much now on this.
Project Three is my NPC , Mirriam’s Mission .
You have done something so motivational and exemplary and that is to launch an NPC in memory if your granny. Please tell us a bit more ?
I am very passionate about education and helping people , hence why I have opened up my own NPC in memory of my granny. My NPC is called Miriam’s Mission. I am focusing on the youth and upskilling the youth in two sectors which is entrepreneurship and technology. I see myself as a public servant to help the communities that are disadvantaged and uplift their lives.
As a child growing up with my granny , I saw the way she portrayed herself to the community and her spiritual life as well where by she was a dedicated church goer till her last week on her deathbed. My granny played a huge role in my life when it came to values , ethics , discipline and helping others. She was such a giving person , that when you visited her , you could not leave without eating a meal at her place. I remember as I was growing up , every month when she collected her pension grant she would buy me my favourite chocolate or cake. She always had sweets with her , she knew I loved sweets and chocolates. As I grew older I saw the values my granny displayed. She was a humble kind person that whoever crossed her path always left happier and more spiritual than when she met them.
Being her youngest grandchild out of 14 grandchildren , I have decided to follow her legacy. My granny welcomed strangers into her home and grew them as her own children. I remember she should always tell us not to refuse a beggar , because Jesus could be disguised as one so whenever a beggar came knocking at her door she would always give them something.
I have decided to open up this NPC in memory of her . Her name was Mirriam . That’s why its called Mirriam’s Mission.
18th of June 2022 marked 10 years of her passing.
The purpose of Mirriam’s Mission is mainly focusing on the education sector. I am very passionate about the education sector and hence I choose to focus on this. Further to this my 3 key areas of focus is
1. Upskilling the children by equipping them with enterprenuial skills and technology. Having life skill workshops which will help them get prepared for life after school . Example how to prepare for job interviews , career direction etc
2. Focusing on the well being of teachers , especially teachers mental health awareness
My idea here is to run mental health workshops for teachers , making their environment more pleasant by making their staff rooms , and classrooms brighter and positive
3. Creating computer rooms for disadvantaged schools and teaching the learners basic computer skills
Any advice to young entrepreneurs or people wanting to start a business at a much older age bracket ?
Some of my strong points when motivating people is to believe all things are possible and that you are the creator of your reality. I strongly believe we can have whatever we desire , as long as we believe in it and take inspired action towards our dreams and goals , nothing is impossible. Secondly I encourage people to work on their mindset , our minds are very powerful and if we can train it to work for us instead of against us we can become very powerful . Examples of working on your mindset would be , meditation , walking in nature , reading books on the mind and applying that knowledge . Having a positive attitude is also important and being able to deal with failure in a positive way when it comes our way. Never give up on your desires and dreams , if you can vision it , you can create it. I have so many affirmations, every morning after I brush my teeth I look at my bathroom mirror and say about 6 affirmations three times each. My favorite is and the one I start off with is , “ I am powerful
Your motto in life ?
“ I am a co-creator of my reality”
