British Born, South African-Based Country Singer-Songwriter Phil Gregory is on the brink of releasing his eagerly anticipated EP set to launch in Nov 2023.
Phil Gregory has been releasing new music consistently since his full-length album ‘Good Intentions’ in 2020 which featured the first single ‘Names’, a single that went on to make the Top 100 songs on Mix FM.
Recently, Phil Gregory’s singles Sheets of Love and the adult contemporary country-pop hit Heaven Right Now have been getting impressive radio airplay all over South African airwaves.
The writing duo of Phil Gregory and his nephew Billy Gregory, from the UK band Crystal Tides, is an intimate and formidable one and has spawned a slew of excellent songs building his catalogue up slowly but surely, making a solid standout musical mark when he does.
The brand new single ‘If I Can’t Have You’ is one of the featured songs off the EP ‘Botley Drive’ and is a love song about a guy who is tormented by the thought of his girlfriend’s life flourishing with someone else, and he is willing to do whatever it takes to keep her by his side. The central theme revolves around his plea to her, asking what he must transform into in order to secure her love. “If the current me can’t have you, then what does the new me need to be,” serves as the emotional core of the song.
