Happy en Lucky is a short music documentary about the first ten years of Francois van Coke’s solo music career spanning from 2015 to 2025.
Francois describes himself as a “normal dude who is obsessed with sport and loves music”. But in this documentary, we see how Francois’ friends and collaborators see him.
“Damn guys! Humbled, flattered and awkward,” is what Francois had to say about it.

This doccie features interviews with Francois’ old and new collaborators, including with his manager and best friend, Wynand Myburgh aka Valkie van Coke, as well as Jack Parow, Danie du Toit (Spoegwolf), Tasché, Peach van Pletzen, Zaan Sonnekus and more.
Older members of Francois’ band, Die Gevaar (Jedd Kossew and Richard Onraet), share intimate stories of the beginning years of his solo career. The spotlight is on the newer members of Die Gevaar (Kyle Botha, Pierre de la Porté and Stefan Mynhardt) which also resonates with Francois’ younger fans.

The interviews were mainly done backstage at Francois van Coke & Vriende 2025 and at Kirstenbosch Summer Concerts and must-see footage binds this captivating music time capsule.
