New Len Muller single is a love letter to the West Coast

Popular singer-songwriter, Len Muller, is back in the spotlight with the release of a captivating new single, WESKUS WYN (West Coast).

This remarkable song, which he wrote on a beach in the West Coast, revolves around cherishing precious moments spent with loved ones, reminding us to never take such experiences for granted.

“While filming my previous music video, we spent a lot of time on the West Coast, and every time I go there, it feels like I am entering a different world and like time is standing still for a while,” he says. “I wrote the song on a beach, and the title was inspired by good times with friends in this picturesque setting.”

Producer Gideon Botes headed up this project and has a knack for turning a simple song into something that you want to listen to over and over again.

According to Len, the song is catchy and upbeat and boasts an acoustic folk-pop sound. “For me, it always comes down to how I feel when I listen to music. This track makes me happy, and I hope it has the same effect on listeners.”

A special music video of the track is now also available. It was filmed with an iPhone by Nico Scheepers, produced by Chanél Muller, and edited by Regardt Botha in just two days.

Secret locations along the Cape Peninsula are featured in the video, and the hope is that many people will visit the West Coast after seeing it.

We wanted to capture beautiful moments rather than creating a traditional video, to provide a platform for the music. The West Coast is such a magical place, and as I am typing this, my heart goes out to the people of Muisbosskerm, an iconic outdoor family restaurant that suffered significant damage due to a fire. I dedicate this song and video to them,” he says.

WESKUS WYN follows in the footsteps of numerous radio hits, including Vrede, which was used as the theme song for the kykNET sitcom, Mense Mense, and was nominated for a Huisgenoot Tempo Award.

Since launching his solo career, a decade ago, his music has been streamed over 2 million times on Apple Music, and he currently has approximately 50 000 monthly listeners on Spotify.

When asked about the highlight of his music career so far, Len humbly expresses: “The real highlight is being able to live my calling and create music that touches people’s hearts.”

Furthermore, he not only had the opportunity to work with big names in the music industry but also to perform on major stages and establish himself as a songwriter.

Len who resides in the Cape Province, is a dedicated father and also manages his own exclusive agency (Tau Entertainment), which handles bookings for artists like Juan Boucher, Danie du Toit (Reënwolf), and Laudo Liebenberg.

Later this year, he would like to record an EP with his covers of well-known English songs that he enjoys singing and to do as many shows as possible.

WESKUS WYN, a heart-warming song about friendship, togetherness and making memories on the beach, is now available on all digital streaming platforms. Get it here: https://ditto.fm/weskuswyn
