Out & About SA (O&A) is beyond excited to announce that it has partnered with BPM Diverse Style Trance Events as the official media partner for BPM’s Third Birthday celebration.
“We are so thrilled to be working with this amazing brand, which is making a huge impact on the South African trance and techno music scene,” says O&A Editor, Kerry Hayes. “Trance is one of those music genres that is evergreen and ever-evolving – it has its own ecosystem and community, and as a holistic music style it remains agile to shifting trends and the demands of followers and patrons.”
“BPM is one of those brands that remains at the forefront of the trance and techno worlds, producing cutting-edge events that take the best of South African trance and techno DJs and blends them into powerful showcases that drill down to the heart of what this genre blend really is. This is what fans and followers of this style love and appreciate – and this why O&A is so fired up about working with BPM for its third birthday celebration: three years of not just keeping trance and techno current and relevant, but of continuously taking these music styles to the edge and stepping over to explore new ground.”
BPM: more than a heart for trance
Founder of BPM and seasoned trance DJ, Dylan Hunt, says that this birthday celebration is a marker of how far the brand has come in three years, and what it has achieved in the South African trance and techno music community.
“My journey with trance started in 1996, where I took inspiration from the likes of Kate Sutherland, Vicki Edwards, Smila, and Stuart H. I started to build up my own unique sound which I firmly believed the South African trance and techno market would enjoy and appreciate – taking to the decks in the growing number of events that I performed at, alongside some incredible peers who fuelled my desire to further develop my music style.”
“BPM evolved on its own, growing wings and gaining traction as more and more people were introduced to progressive trance, uplifting trance, tech trance and techno that our incredibly talented collective of DJs are playing. We are now at our three-year mark and felt that it was important to acknowledge where we come from and our roots. We are so privileged to be able to play music that speaks to people’s hearts and makes them feel alive.”
