JACK PAROW is not only known as the world’s most dangerous Afrikaans rapper and pop culture icon, but also as a content creator. He has been on the judging panel for the DSTV Content Creator Awards twice and has for years provided a platform to other creatives.
‘Skattie’ is Jack Parow’s latest animated music video and was made by Eryn Voogt, a student from Stellenbosch Academy of Design & Photography.
“SKATTIE is one of my favourite tracks from the DIE EVANGELIE VAN GOEIE TYE album and I’m just crazy about what Eryn did with the video. She really got the vibe down and with the coolest animation style. She is a legend,” says Jack Parow.
Skattie walked into the door when Wessie van der Westhuizen, head of Multimedia Design Studies at Stellenbosch Academy of Design & Photograph reached out to Parow to ask him if his students can create music videos for him as part of a class project.
Jack Parow graded and provided feedback for 22 students’ music videos, but only Eryn Voogt got 100 / 100. Here is a short extract from Parow’s feedback to Eryn:
“All I can say is wow, dis BEF*K! I really can’t fault it. From the American Dad style of animation to the characters to the fun and vibrant colours, just amazing! The story is engaging and entertaining and keeps you watching and waiting for what’s next, not a dull moment! This is a music video and would love to use it! Really, no jokes, WELL DONE!!”
