“THE GOD ASSIGNMENT” BY FERDINAND W GERNANDT

From Prison to Purpose:

A Life Changing Journey Based on a True Story of Faith, Injustice, and Redemption

Award-winning writer, producer and director Ferdinand W. Gernandt releases his debut autobiography, “The God Assignment: 30 Daily Declarations for When the Fight Is Not Yours”, now available in print and digital formats on Amazon (print and e-book), Kindle, Rakuten Kobo, Barnes & Noble, Smashwords and Hoopla.

Based on true events, The God Assignment chronicles Gernandt’s harrowing yet hope-filled journey through false accusations, wrongful imprisonment and spiritual warfare, and how he emerged not as a victim, but as a vessel for divine purpose.

At the heart of this powerful faith-based memoir lies a question that resonates deeply with a generation battling injustice: What if your greatest battle is not in the courtroom, but in your own surrender? Gernandt reframes prison as a pulpit, trauma as training and silence as the voice of God.

Told through 30 daily reflections, each paired with a prayer, declaration and actionable spiritual insight, the book has already garnered international interest for its raw honesty and bold spiritual resonance.

“This is not just a book” says Gernandt, “It’s a weapon. For every person who feels like the system broke them – this is your reminder: God hasn’t left you.

Key themes covered in this autobiographical, self- help book are:

  • Exodus 14:14: “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
  • Transforming prison into purpose.
  • Spiritual warfare in real life and how to find the light
  • Daily declarations to reclaim spiritual authority
  • The power of surrender over striving

Gernandt was wrongfully accused and arrested in 2024 for allegations of fraud, intimidation and theft. He was arrested without a charge sheet, thrown into the prison system without a phone call, right to an attorney and without knowing why he was arrested. The accusations were false but the damage has been done and Gernandt found himself in the pits of darkness. For 18 days, with the help of certain inmates, he navigated this darkness and in the stillness found some light; through the love of his family and his new found faith.

Through this journey, he reflected on his worth as a man and his purpose physically and spiritually.

Through The God Assignment he hopes to share his faith journey with others and help people find the light in the dark; whether you’re on a religious, faith-based voyage or just looking for some clarity in life.

Book influencer on Instagram Snehasbookshelf describes it as “..intense, emotional and surprisingly redemptive.”
