Swimmer Releases Dreamy Acoustic Pop Single “Waterbodies”

Following a breakout year on the local live circuit, Swimmer returns with a new single, “Waterbodies” — a dreamy, acoustic pop track that captures the beauty of connection.

“Inspired by the story of two people coming from opposite worlds, and somehow meeting in the middle. Like all water leading to the ocean, their destiny to be together was always inevitable,” says Marcel, lead singer/songwriter.

“Waterbodies” evokes the classic storytelling and emotional depth of artists like Crowded House and Counting Crows.

The Story So Far

In 2024 / 2025 Swimmer has been active on the live circuit, playing shows at Bailey’s, Sognage, The Radium Beerhall, Rumours, Studio 69, Jozi

Bones, and Laudo Liebenberg (aKing, Heuwels), and co-headlining with

After Wonderland and Man as Machine in a series of events around

Joburg.

Cathedrals’, with two singles making it onto the top 20 of Mix FM Top 40
