This festive season, Liberty Midlands Mall is set to dazzle with a celebration unlike any other. Announcing the Festive Artspace, a vibrant and imaginative take on holiday festivities. Plus, with exciting activities for children, enchanting moments with Santa, a heartwarming collaboration with Disney’s Charity Tree, and sparkling, shiny décor, Midlands Mall is gearing up for its brightest festive season yet.
Festive Artspace: A Season of Brightness and Joy Awaits
From 13 to 22 December 2024, the centre court will pop with colour with the Festive Artspace from 11 am to 4 pm daily. Going further than the traditional holiday activities, this colourful space will offer an array of creative experiences designed to ignite children’s imaginations. Here, young visitors can look forward to colouring their own shopper bags and giant wall murals, decorating cookies with vibrant hues, crafting creature standees, enjoying sip-and-paint sessions and engaging in sensory, soft-play activities.
While there is no charge to enter the Festive Artspace, participants are encouraged to contribute R 10 each to charity, via the donation box in the area to ensure that this joyful celebration also makes a meaningful difference in the community.
Joyful Moments with Santa
No festive season would be complete without whispering in Santa’s ear or putting in special requests for presents! Families can capture precious memories with photos alongside the man in red in the Wimpy Court, daily from 10 am to 6 pm, from 9 – 24 December 2024, when he needs to leave to start delivering gifts.
Disney Charity Tree: Spreading Magic and Hope
A seven-meter-tall Disney Charity Christmas Tree has taken centre stage in the Food District, adorned with Disney plush toys. While the plush toys are not for sale directly at the tree, many of the characters will be available for purchase at Toys R Us, with R5 from each sale donated to Reach for a Dream. After the holiday season, the plush toys will be shared between Reach for a Dream and the Mama Ntombi’s Community Projects, spreading joy to those in need. To spark even more joy the public can also donate R50 or more towards Reach for a Dream and then stand a chance to win 1 of 4 R5000 PEP vouchers. The Disney Charity tree is brought to you by FNB, PEP and Toys R Us.
