Jann Klose and Rachel Flowers team up for emotional new single “The Lost Kingdom,” inspired by Annie Haslam’s painting.

Award-winning singer-songwriter Jann Klose and renowned multi-instrumentalist Rachel Flowers have teamed up for an extraordinary collaboration on the brand-new single, “The Lost Kingdom”. This deeply emotional and cinematic piece is inspired by a painting of the same name by legendary vocalist and visual artist Annie Haslam, who co-wrote the song with Klose.

Haslam, best known as the lead singer of the progressive rock band Renaissance, created “The Lost Kingdom” painting, which sparked Klose’s imagination and led him to write the music and collaborate on lyrics with her. Haslam’s illustrious career spans decades, blending her five-octave vocal range with her skills as a visual artist.

In a nod to his rock and progressive roots, Klose brought in the exceptional talents of Rachel Flowers, a worldwide sensation known for her genre-blending compositions and mesmerizing performances. Flowers recorded her vocals and piano parts remotely from her home studio in California, lending her unique style to the track.

Reflecting on the collaboration, Rachel Flowers shares, “When I got the tracks from Jann, I asked myself, ‘What would Annie do, in Rachel’s voice?’ It was a lot of fun getting to sing and play piano on ‘The Lost Kingdom.’

Jann Klose also expressed his excitement about the project, saying, “Working with Annie Haslam, Rachel Flowers, and producer Marcus Dembinski on this release was a great pleasure and a return to my rock and progressive roots. When I discovered Rachel’s incredible talents, I immediately asked her to sing on the record, and she brought her magic to the piece.”

Producer Marcus Dembinski added live drums, bass, electric guitar, and arranged the lush orchestral parts, bringing “The Lost Kingdom” to life.

Fans of progressive rock, classical influences, and intricate storytelling will find much to love in this hauntingly beautiful single, which blends art, music, and poetry into a profound listening experience.

“The Lost Kingdom” will be available on all streaming platforms and performed live at Progstock 2024 on Oct 18th!
