Texx and the City’s new event series, On The Record powered by Shure, is all about celebrating the symbiosis of Music & Storytelling, centring each performance around the artist’s rich discography and the storytelling element attached to it.
On Thursday 1 August, alternative rock group ISO will take over The Outlore Base in Cape Town, to tell the story of their band across their seven albums and explaining the stories behind their most celebrated songs. They will be joined by VOX Cape Town, the city’s most innovative choral collective, to lend an immersive feel to ISO’s cinematic songs.
This is a once-off show that aims to spotlight the importance of ISO’s independent contribution to South Africa’s musical canon. The band is also working closely with Texx and the City’s team to have the venue reflect the story that they want to tell.
