The Urban Playground is bringing a ton of fun activities to rAge 2023, including the highly anticipated Ramp Rage skateboarding event. rAge, the Really Awesome Gaming Expo, will take place at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand from December 8th to 10th.
Ramp Rage Skateboarding
Immerse yourself in the electrifying world of skateboarding at the Ramp Rage event, set against the backdrop of a massive 9ft halfpipe adorned with deck racks, and featuring cutting-edge brands from across the country.
Attendees can engage with the industry’s innovators and change-makers through interactive monitor displays, unveiling the evolution of skateboarding. Urban Playground promises three action-packed days filled with skate clinics catering to beginners and awe-inspiring performances by top skaters nationwide. This promises to be a celebration of passion, skill, and the boundless spirit of skate culture.
RawStyles
Dive into the heart of rhythm and movement at the RawStyles Dance Event; a dance contest where anyone can hit the dancefloor. As the winners of the contest are unveiled the stage will transform into a battleground for the Settle the Score contest, where dancers challenge each other to unparalleled dance-offs.
Renowned professional dancer Pacou Mutombo will emcee the event with his magnetic presence, while visionary filmmaker Adriano Miguel captures it all on film.
Teqball
Find out all about this new game under the guidance of Ozwin Edwards, a trailblazing professional football freestyler and the esteemed President of the Teqball Federation of South Africa. Players can book coaching sessions as well as just enjoy the magic of the game.
Parkour
The Concrete Foundations Crew promise to capture the attention of everyone in attendance by unleashing the dynamic art of parkour in a spectacle of strength and agility. Prepare for captivating parkour demos, where gravity-defying movements come to life.
Fans can work on their own skills with complimentary classes offered by the masters themselves. Among the daring feats, the Wall Run Challenge beckons, daring competitors to ascend a vertical extension on the ramp, pushing the boundaries of physical prowess.
