WHAT MEDIA HAVE SAID:

Robyn Sassen:

“What holds the moment is Andersons ability to contain it all, and allow Van Goghs story to have a voice in your heart. One unsoiled by grubby truisms. Its an extraordinary piece of work. And Andersons is a name to follow. Unequivocally.”

Bruce Dennill:

“Anderson weaves a special kind of magic, ably assisted by a sensitive, responsive accompanist. Vincent is a show that hits all its marks, and while a standing ovation is no longer necessarily a clear indicator of excellence in contemporary theatre, the sustained applause – a good few minutes without pause – that accompanied it was the minimum reward deserved by Andersons accomplishment.”

Janice Leibowitz:

“An unique theatre experience! Vincent, currently onstage at Theatre on the Square, Sandton is not only a fascinating journey into the soul of the artist, Van Gogh, and his life, but also an incredible observation of a performer who is so well-versed in his material, that he fluidly, almost invisibly, transforms himself again and again throughout the show.”

Denise Bjorkman:

“Vincent at the Theatre on the Square was a starry, starry night. I hope they make a recording of every magnificent song which exemplified Van Gogh’s lesser-known life history.”
