POP ROCK BAND SATELLITE 79 RELEASE NEW SINGLE AND MUSIC VIDEO – A MOODY AND EMOTIONAL HYMN TO AUTUMN.

Satellite 79 release their brand new single, Autumn.

The song is the first single, and title track, from the upcoming album Autumn and is exactly what it sounds like; a hymn to Autumn, both the season and the mood.

Just as their previous album, ‘Into The Sun’ was a nod to all things summer, the new album is both more melancholy and more thoughtful.

‘Autumn’, the song, is essentially about both the season and the mood of longing and loss that it often inspires in us.

It can be seen as both a personal and a universal sentiment and it will be at the heart of the album which will follow later this year.

Satellite 79’s last three singles all made the MixFM Top Twenty and 200 Sirens reached number 5 on the charts.

We have high hopes for Autumn, especially because it has fast become both a favourite song to play live, and an audience favourite

The video for the song, shot and directed by lead vocalist Robin Finch, perfectly captures the mood and feel of the song. The song was engineered and produced (At Darkstar Studio) by The Kevins: Kevin Botha, bass player in the band (and sometime songwriter with Mango Groove, Vicky Sampson and others) and the legendary Kevin Leicher who has produced records by Josie Field and Louise Carver (among many others) and often plays guitar in Arno Carstens’s Joburg lineup.

The song also features the fantastic sax stylings of the awesome Barry Snyman.
