Ticket to the Moon Management are thrilled to announce that the power punch of a musical; Music of the Night – one composer, many lyricists, will kick off the 2022 season of the enchanting and popular pocket sized venue, Centurion Theatre, running for a limited season from February 24th – March 5th.
Tiaan Kirsten-Lubbe, Director of Marketing and Operations at Centurion Theatre, states enthusiastically; “We are very excited, as a well-known and well-loved live music venue in Centurion, to finally branch out our repertoire of hosted events with the first ever hosted musical on our stage!”
He continues; “As new management, our goal when we accepted the challenge of running a theatre mid and post pandemic, was to focus on the revival of the Arts. And we mean ALL forms of the Arts. We are therefore so excited and honoured to host Music of the Night’ as a powerful and amazing start to our season! We’ll be singing along in the back too!”
Four premier musical theatre performers; Craig Urbani, Carly Graeme, Adrian Galliard and Stephanie Baartman, while also introducing Emma-Jean Galliard, is the stellar cast gathered to take audiences out on the musical theatre highway.
They’re ready to thrill audiences with a hit-filled musical revue that presents a special take on the very many lyricists who have adorned the musical notes of the iconic musical theatre composer, Andrew Lloyd Webber.
Music of the Night will be a unique take on the musical numbers instantly recognisable from the lyricists audiences know and love; including Sir Tim Rice, Don Black , Sir Richard Stilgoe, Charles Hart, Glenn Slater and others, with fresh new arrangements ideally suited for the talented cast.
Audiences will delight as Craig Urbani turns on the charm with his rendition of Sunset Boulevard, then next giving us a amusing tongue-in-cheek rendition of King Herod’s Song from Jesus Christ Superstar.
Carly Graeme, having starred in Starlight Express and Boys In The Photograph, delivers an enchanting Don’t Cry For Me Argentina with a Spanish flair, while the sultry, jazzy tones of Stephanie Baartman singing Memory will immediately captivate you.
Father-and-daughter internet and YouTube sensation Adrian and Emma-Jean Galliard will entice you with a well-loved classic Any Dream Will Do while Emma-Jean’s Pie Jesu will take your breath away.
