Comic Con Africa announces ticket sales for its return in 2022.

After a sold-out Black Friday Blowout ticket sale, pop culture and gaming fans are excited for Comic Con Africa’s return in 2022. After two years of no live show, Comic Con Africa – Africa’s largest multi-genre pop-culture, gaming, and fan festival – is returning from 22-25 September 2022.

As a result of this popular demand, Comic Con Africa has decided to officially open Phase 1 of ticket sales for the event, where between now and March 2022 fans can get their hands on a general access ticket for R180, and a 4-day weekend pass for R545. With ticket prices set to increase leading up to the show, fans who seize the opportunity and book now during phase 1, will get them at lowered price compared to other phases.

Fans that are seeking to buy tickets can do so through the Comic Con Africa ticketing partner, Howler, here: https://bit.ly/CCA22_Tickets. Those who already hold tickets, purchased for the 2020 show, will automatically have their tickets rolled over for use at Comic Con Africa 2022.

“Seeing the overwhelming response from fans for Comic Con Africa 2022 has really demonstrated that they are ready for a live show again. We are thankful for the fans that have already shown their excitement, and encourage those who missed the sold-out Black Friday Blowout to purchase their tickets as soon as possible to take advantage of the phase one price.” says Comic Con Africa Show Director, Carla Massmann. “We are so thrilled to see the events industry slowly igniting again. We have missed the fans so much and can’t wait to unite. We’re coming back, and we’re coming back BIG,” Massmann adds.

The team at Comic Con Africa HQ have spent the past year and a half performing the necessary due diligence to ensure that the event in 2022 will be bigger, better and safer than ever before – with the strictest of Covid protocols and measures ready to be implemented, to ensure peace of mind for all attendees and vendors.

Comic Con Africa 2022 will still see activations from partners like KFC, Telkom, Luno, and more.

In order to accommodate the event’s growth (and to assist in respecting social distancing measures) the event has found a new home – the Johannesburg Expo Centre (at Nasrec). This venue boasts a capacity that is a great size to safely host the anticipated 80 000 plus visitors, while still offering further growth potential for years to come with its extensive indoor and outdoor areas.

Fans of Comic Con Africa will also be happy to hear that the extensive space allows for the return of the very popular Food Truck Village and other themed outdoor areas, as well as some very big new additions to the show.

While waiting for Comic Con Africa 2022, fans can keep engaging with the plethora of online content that Comic Con Africa has produced during the pandemic. Follow Comic Con Africa on social media to get the latest on livestreams and engaging online activities.
